 I have been a professional photographer for over nine years, and have loved evey second of it. I would like to be able to say that I am one of those photographers born with a camera in their hand, but I'm not. I fell in love with photography in college, and it has become the perfect compliment to my life ever since. It has been my guide; taking me from the mountains of Colorado where I grew up and went to college and through Utah for the 2002 Olympics. I followed it to specialty photography school in Montana, and now to the island of Hilton Head. Photography has been my guide and my gift, and it will always have a place in every day of my life. 
 My my first experience with photography took place in my home town of Springfield, Illinois during a photography class offered by my high school. This became a passion that developed exponentially in the mountains of Crested Butte, Colorado. When I decided to trade my ski boots for flip flops, photography became my career. I have been honored to be a full time member of the Mira` Photography staff for almost 4 years, and have made the move to Daufuskie Island with the company. This has allowed me to dedicate more time to my wildlife photography and proves to be an inspiration everyday. |
